Service Description

Who: Ages 8-10, all-gender When: Friday July 5th, 12th, & 19th @ 9am - 11am Where: Meet at Kinsmen Park (Trowbridge) Details Lil' Shredders is designed for the young mountain bike rider who is comfortable riding off-road and green-rated single track trails. This rider is always asking, "Where does this go?" and follows the trail as far as it'll take them. Skills-based programming ensure that lil' shredders develop their fundamental knowledge to continue to refine their toolbox of bike handling skills. Riders will be encourage to use risk management skills to develop their bike handling skills and to create more positive experiences out on the trail. On the last day of the session, riders will participate on an adventure ride through the Trowbridge Forest to practice everything they learned and have fun riding bikes! What to expect: - Learn specific bike handling skills and theory related to balance & stability, terrain awareness, direction control, pressure control, and timing & coordination to increase your confidence and ability to ride on various off-road surfaces, - Fun, engaging games to help reenforce key riding skills needed on the trails, - Encourage positive risk management skills while mountain biking, - Encounter challenges that will allow young riders to grow and becoming more resilient as individuals on-and-off the bike, - A safe and judgement-free environment to learn, experiment and progress their mountain bike skills, - Small group sizes to receive direct and immediate feedback on riding form.
